Emotional Support

Caring for the heart when every moment matters

Sometimes care is not only about recovery. It is also about easing the distress, the fear, and the uncertainty a person carries within.

Emotional support can help patients and their families move through one of life’s most difficult seasons with greater calm, gentleness, and meaning.

Emotional support for serious illness and end-of-life care means being present through the most delicate moments.

Emotional care

When the body is unwell, the heart needs care too

Living with a serious or advanced illness can bring anxiety, fear, sadness, confusion, and deep uncertainty about what lies ahead. At the same time, family members and loved ones may also be carrying grief, exhaustion, and questions with no easy answers.

At NBRH, emotional care is gentle, safe, and deeply respectful of each person’s dignity — easing inner distress, creating space for emotions to be acknowledged, and helping patients and their families find moments of calm during one of life’s most tender seasons.

What emotional care can offer

Steadying the heart
through what matters most

  • Easing anxiety, fear, and emotional distress
  • Helping patients feel safe, calm, and emotionally supported
  • Supporting the family through grief, worry and change
  • Helping patients and their loved ones speak to one another more gently
  • Creating inner space for acceptance, meaning, and peace.
An important note

This is not a treatment for physical illness, nor is it medical palliative care.

It is emotional and psychological support provided alongside the medical care the patient is already receiving.
