Self-Esteem

How much do you value yourself?

Often, you’re the hardest on yourself.

Some live with a critical voice that never quite stops.

Some see the good in everyone else, and none of it in themselves.

Some give everything they have and still feel they fall short.

Even when praise comes, something inside refuses to accept it.

Reaching again and again for approval,
until the heart is tired.

What people often experience

You may find yourself

  • Criticizing yourself almost constantly
  • Feeling you are never good enough, however hard you try
  • Comparing yourself to everyone around you
  • Being afraid of making mistakes
  • Feeling guilty whenever you say no
  • Needing the approval of others in order to feel worthy.
  • Overlooking your own achievements
  • Believing your worth depends on what you accomplish
  • Pushing away good things when they come your way.
What matters to know

Self-esteem is not believing you are better than anyone else. It is the quiet sense that you have worth, without needing to prove it to anyone.

The feeling of not being enough usually grows out of rejection, neglect, abandonment, or being taught to believe you fall short.

But none of that is who you are. It is a set of ideas formed by experience — and experience does not get to decide your worth.

How we can help

At NBRH we are not interested in temporary confidence, or in covering insecurity with positive words.

We work with the beliefs you hold about yourself at a deeper level of the mind — the ground beneath the sense of not being enough, the habit of comparing yourself to others, the need for approval.

As those old beliefs change, many people find that their relationship with themselves, and with everyone else, changes too. They begin to see their own worth as it truly is.

Because valuing yourself does not begin with becoming someone else. It begins with accepting the worth you already have.
